Bobby Brown has pulled out of an undetermined number of shows on the current New Edition tour to be with his daughter, Bobbi, in the wake of the death of her mother, Whitney Houston.

Bobby Brown went ahead with his New Edition show in Missouri on Saturday night just hours after his ex-wife’s death but things turned ugly with his 18-year old daughter later that evening.

Bobbi had a nervous breakdown at around 11pm on Saturday and was rushed to nearby Cedars-Sinai Hospital in West Hollywood.

Bobby Brown had earlier paid tribute to his ex-wife at the concert and friends say he went ahead with the show because “he didn’t know what else to do”.

Bobbi Brown was released from hospital earlier today.

A statement from Bobby Brown today read, “I am deeply saddened at the passing of my ex-wife, Whitney Houston. At this time, we ask for privacy, especially for my daughter, Bobbi Kristina. I appreciate all of the condolences that have been directed towards my family and I at this most difficult time.”
