Sophie lights-up Sheffield

In front of a crowd of thousands in the city centre of Sheffield (UK), Malta’s very own Sophie along with ex-Spice Girl Mel C and other artists, took part in the traditional ‘Christmas Lights Switch-on’ concert last Sunday 20th November.

Invited by Real Radio Yorkshire at the very last minute, Sophie found herself making the 3,000 mile round-trip only hours before the event.

She helped get Christmas started in Yorkshire by performing three songs including her new single ‘Love to Love You’. Sophie was delighted by the reception she received from the audience and the organisers wanted more but due to time constraints it was not possible to do so.

“It was a very long way to come but I would not have missed it for the world. Everyone seemed to join-in and it was like a big party” exclaimed a very excited 17 year old Sophie after coming off stage.
