2011 proved to be a good year for Kurt Calleja. Kurt has been working full time on TV for just over two years now however it was thanks to the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2011 that he really took his career on a whole new level.
‘Over and Over’ – a song we now heard time and time again is about to take another step. Thanks to Undo Productions, Kurt Calleja and his band have just finished filming their music video for the second runner up song of the 2011 edition of Malta Eurovision Song Contest.
With the young Maltese actress Christine Haber playing Kurt’s love interest. Kurt took the role of plotting the music video alongside young director Daniel Abdilla who has just won ‘People’s Choice’ award in a short movie festival in America. The music video starts with a short role play, where Kurt will be admitting certain feelings and short after that, the song starts.
The video also portrays the band recording the song and shows us a new side of Kurt Calleja. We know Kurt as a happy go lucky guy who is always smiling and on top of the show, but in this video we see his more sensitive side which and we quote: “… I was always scared to show my sensitive side to my fans, friends and viewers, but I feel that it is time that the people know the real Kurt. I am a hopeless romantic and I love the sappy romantic things that you see on the movies you know? Like when a couple slow dances in the rain or talk about growing old and crazy in love together…”

I would also like to thank my sponsors starting with Mangano who provided all the clothes for all the scenes for: myself, Christine and the band; 2 22 lounge in Valletta – a very attractive lounge with an amazing service and excellent food and drinks - where we actually shot most of the music video, Attard Bros. who provided us with a lavish apartment in Ghadira Malta to shoot some more scenes, Shasha for our make-up and Hairlab Hairdressing in Zebbug for our hairdos; and finally Anjelica Ellul of Comfort Zone Malta who takes care of my face, body weight loss and toning and all my unwanted body hairs haha.”
Kurt and his team of misfits will soon be launching a teaser of the music video called ‘The Making of – Over and Over the music video’ – this is a behind scenes footage and what they went through to provide us with this interesting idea for music video which is targeted to be launched in mid-December.
