I had a few technical issues at the start of writing this weeks review so I told the editor to show you my best bits of the series so far but he said that wouldn't take long!!

Anyway what a quiet week it's been on the X Factor...

Last week, we said a sad farewell to The Risk & Johnny Robinson. I thought they were both entertaining in their own right. Good luck for the future guys.

So, as we approached this weeks Lady GaGa vs Queen theme, we were dealt another twist in the saga. The producers found themselves in a challenging position following the need to replace Frankie Cocozza after he broke a 'golden rule'. Six acts left but seven weeks to fill! What were they going to do?

Why not bring back someone already sent packing? Genius! The public were given a chance to vote back in 2 Shoes, Jonjo Kerr, James Michael or Amelia Lily...oh I wonder who it will be, more on this later in my review.

Kitty Brucknell kicked off this weeks show. She was really starting to win me round after a couple of great performances in the last few weeks. Sadly, this week I felt she was all performance but no voice. The judges didn't quite agree, giving her praise all round. I felt the grandeur of the stage set was trying to hide her poor vocal.

Craig Colton got the show back on track with his fantastic "paparazzi"
Last week I said that Craig has a west end voice and many people agreed, but this week he showed his versatility. Nice one Craig.

The best ever girl band on the show were up next, no, not the Conway Sisters, Little Mix.

I love these girls and their vocals are brilliant. I really think Little Mix could get to the Final and even if they don't, they have a great future ahead of them. Good luck ladies.

Birthday girl and Midas Act Janet Devlin was up next and although Gary knocked Janet for being predictable, this style of singing is what she is good at and I think it was a good arrangement of a classic Queen track. She avoided hiding behind a big stage set and just gave us the vocal style that loads of us love. Keep positive Janet.

Marcus Collins was great last week and great again this week. I said at the start of the live shows that he was a serious contender and a few people said 'no chance'. Looks like another prediction is looking spot on.

The sixth act to perform was Misha B. What can I say. A faultless performance and a great spin on a very well known Lady GaGa track. The better singer got the song (sorry Kitty). Another act set for a big future whether she wins or loses.

So, the winner of the public vote was Amelia Lily. Perhaps a bit predictable? In fact, there was one website out there who must have been psychic as they announced the winner an hour before the lines even closed!

In fairness, Amelia Lily was very good and should never have gone out so soon in the competition. She is now a serious contender, perhaps now with an even better chance of winning. However, to bring someone back half way through doesn't seem to have been a popular move. The majority of people who have contacted me this week were not happy.

The performances on the whole were very good this week and for once the judges don't get a mention.

Looking forward to Midas Act One Direction and Lady GaGa on the results show tonight.

Talking about Midas acts, just this week I went to see Sophie Evans as Dorothy in the west end version of the Wizard of Oz. She was brilliant and it was great to catch up with her. Well done Sophie.

Anyway here's to another 'quiet' X Factor week...
