If We’re Still Alive is the third release from Slow’s Club critically acclaimed sophomore album Paradise.

True to the band’s edict for Paradise – “cocks, fannies and death. That's our thing.” – If We’re Still Alive tells the story of a relationship hanging in the balance, spelt out in Rebecca Taylor’s despondently romantic lyrics.

Charting that youthful exuberance at the start of a relationship - “I think that next summer, if we're all still alive, you should try, we
should try to jump into some water and focus on getting high.” and it’s tearful climax - “there’s a city, that will help me clear the
lumps out of my throat.” – it encapsulates the themes that are played out on Paradise - “Death and shagging pretty much sum this album up,” says Rebecca.

Produced by Luke Smith – of sadly departed electro band Clor and producer of Foal’s Mercury nominated Total Life Forever – their new album is a far cry from the rattling pop of their debut. With its swooning but raucous take on doo-wop and its frazzled, fragile representation of soul inspired rock, Paradise is typical of a band whose members divide their obsessions between Destiny’s Child and Noise-pop.

After playing their biggest show to date at London’s Shepherds Bush Empire, Slow Club will return to the Union Chapel for their annual Xmas show on December 19th. They will also headline a New Years Eve show – Flowerpot NYE at the HMV Forum, Kentish Town.
