Brian Wilson starts work on next album before latest is released

Brian Wilson has told Billboard that he already has material in the can for his next album, a week before his In the Key of Disney is even released.

In the last few years, Wilson has gone from a man of few recordings to an artist on a schedule, releasing his version of the Beach Boys' Smile, That Lucky Old Sun, Reimagines Gershwin and the Disney album in a span of seven years.

He told Billboard "I'm starting another Brian Wilson album. We've got about five or six things in the works" adding that it will be "just another album with good songs, some of it rock 'n' roll, some of it not. I approach it slower than when I was younger, when I used to run into the studio and cut a record...(but) I'm just as much a perfectionist as I was 50 years ago."

In the Key of Disney is out next Tuesday while the following Tuesday will see the release of The Beach Boys' multi-disc The Smile Sessions.
