A rare R.E.M. demo tape from 1981 has surfaced on the site The Power of Independent Trucking. Only about 400 of the tape were made for the group to use on their first promotional tour in New York. Included are two different versions of three songs, Sitting Still, White Tornado and Radio Free Europe.


The estate of Michael Jackson has said that the upcoming Immortal album will not be the last of the archive material to be released. They are looking at a 25th anniversary release of Bad that would be similar to 2008's Thriller package along with another with new songs that are still in the vaults ala last year's Michael.


Peter Murphy is releasing a new digital EP next week which will contain his current single, Seesaw Sway, different versions of Secret Silk Society and Gaslit from his current album, Ninth, and three previously unreleased tracks (Rose Hunter, Good Works and Secret). Look for it next Tuesday on iTunes and Amazon among others.
Members of the Jackson family attended the world premier of the Cirque du Soliel's Michael Jackson The Immortal Tour in Montreal, Canada on Sunday. In the audience was brothers Tito, Jackie and Marlon, mother Katherine and children Prince Michael, Paris and Blanket.


A previously unreleased Bob Dylan track, Don't Ever Take Yourself Away, will be included on the upcoming soundtrack for the TV show Hawaii Five-O. The recording is from the early 80's and has been sitting in the vaults for thirty years.


Kate Bush will release Wild Man from her upcoming album 50 Words For Snow next week via all digital retailers.
