Jay-Z has revealed he feels “blessed” in life.
The hip-hop mogul hosted a charity event at Pier 54 in New York City yesterday for his The Shawn ‘Jay-Z’ Carter Foundation. Charity is dear to Jay-Z’s heart, as he feels a deep need to give back to his community.
“I think that it’s really important for anybody that’s been blessed, you know to look back,” Jay-Z explained to OK! magazine.
“Someone told me this morning, someone e-mailed me and said, ‘Some people climb the ladder and grab the ladder. Some people go up the ladder and just pull, and pull more people up the ladder. You are a person who pull more people up the ladder.’ I was really humbled by that. That was an email I got. The first e-mail I woke up to.”
Jay-Z’s good fortune is extensive.
He and wife his Beyoncé Knowles are currently expecting their first child together. Jay-Z can’t wait to welcome his newborn.
“I’m excited. I think that’s pretty easy,” Jay-Z said.
Jay-Z is intent on instilling good values in his youngster. He wants to set a good example for the child.
“I think anyone’s actions–I think you emulate good deeds and actions. I think just by being a great role model [you can instil good values in a child].”
