SLIPKNOT DJ, SID WILSON, also known under the monikers DJ STARSCREAM and #0, announced recently that his highly anticipated debut solo album ‘SID’ which sees WILSON for the first time as lead vocalist and has been years in the making, will finally be released this September 13, and available worldwide for download on iTunes, Amazon.com and various other major online retailers.
The album, mixed by industry legends ROSS ROBINSON (SLIPKNOT, KORN, LIMP BIZKIT) and TOBIAS LINDELL (EUROPE, MUSTACH) and mastered by CHRIS GEHRINGER (CEE-LO GREEN, DRAKE, RIHANNA)was written, produced, engineered and recorded all by SID, proving to be a multi-talent in the industry. The album is an ‘eclectic mix’ in terms of its musical direction and has even been called genre-defying, crossing over multiple genres and inspired by the different styles of music he grew up with, although SID says "The structure is B-boy. It's all based off of hip hop."
The first single ‘NERVOUS CENTRAL’ will also be simultaneously released with the album on September 13 and the second single, 'FLAT LACE' soon after the release, a song written for deceased bandmate PAUL GRAY 5 years before his passing. Be on the lookout for the forthcoming EP from SID, 'THE MIAMI VICE SOUND CRACK’ which is rumored to already be completed. With several albums of his own, and other artists all produced by SID himself, expect a non-stop onslaught of music coming soon from his camp.
