Mel B has reportedly named her new daughter Madison Brown Belafonte.
The infant was born last week at Cedars Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles and her eldest daughter Phoenix was given the task of choosing a name for the latest addition to their family.
RadarOnline claims that the little girl has finally got a moniker and it is not as zany as some were expecting it to be.
“Mel and Madison are home from the hospital. The baby is very loved, and her sisters are absolutely doting on her.
Madison is a very happy baby,” a source close to the couple told the site.
Mel is mother to 12-year-old Phoenix, from her first marriage, and four-year-old Angel from her relationship with ex-boyfriend Eddie Murphy.
She married long time friend and movie producer Stephen Belafonte in June 2007 after a very short courtship.
“Finally our baby arrives,” Mel tweeted after the birth. “Stephen nearly passed out, Phoenix screamed, I laughed so hard the baby popped out!!! She is just sooo amazing!!”
Mel is soon going to be heading back to Australia to resume her duties as a judge on the Down Under version of X Factor.
