Anti-poverty charity ActionAid get exclusive access to Jane’s Addiction’s only Reading performance just prior to them pulling their Reading slot.

For immediate release: 6 September 2011. Moments before Jane’s Addiction pulled out of the Radio One/NME tent headline slot at this year’s Reading festival, band members Chris Chaney and Stephen Perkins jammed exclusively for anti-poverty charity ActionAid.

Young reporters Charlie Gorringe and Sophie Hughes were given backstage access to meet up with some of the festival’s top bands, including The National, Everything Everything and comedian Tim Minchin to chat about their ultimate festival moments and Jane’s Addiction gave them a little bit extra It’s all captured on video below.

Charlie and Sophie were reporting on behalf of Bollocks to Poverty, the youth arm of anti-poverty charity ActionAid, which celebrated its 10th year campaigning at Reading festival last week.
