Courtney Love is thought to be “infatuated” with author Salman Rushdie.
Courtney, 47, and critically acclaimed writer Sir Salman Rushdie, 64, were seen sitting together at a recent literary event in New York City. An onlooker commented on the two “flirting heavily” with each other.
“[Courtney] is infatuated with Salman,” a source close to the singer told British newspaper The Mirror. “He truly is her ideal chap.”
Courtney is a voracious reader of literature. She holds Salman’s work and his intellect in high regard.
“She finds him intellectually thrilling,” the source explained. “She regularly quotes classic literature and is a huge fan of Salman’s work.”
It is unknown whether Courtney has found her ideal man in Salman, or if romantic feelings are reciprocated. For now, it seems that Courtney and Salman are happy with whatever may transpire.
“She is looking for love, while Salman’s an incorrigible flirt and willing to see how their friendship develops,” the source explained.
