Fresh from their debut performance on the BBC Introducing stage at T in the Park this summer and with two stunning singles under their belt, THE MARS PATROL embark on a whirlwind tour of the UK before heading back into the studio to begin work on their highly anticipated next release.

2011 has seen a gradual ascent for the six-piece with their following growing rapidly as a result of a hugely successful acoustic tour and several high-profile support slots, and this tour is just the start of a busy 6-months for the Edinburgh & London based pop-rockers. Bassist Stephen Parker revealed that the band has bookings spanning as far as next summer to promote a new EP, two new singles and the band’s first ever full-band acoustic EP. “We’re throwing everything into the next few months. We have so much new material that we can’t wait to get out there and it takes a busy touring schedule to allow us to do that”.

With recent reviewers recommending to “Catch them now before they hit the stadiums” (Daily Record) and tipping them to be “huge in 2011” (Clyde 1/Forth 1), The Mars Patrol are a must see band, asap.

You can catch the band on the following dates in August:

18th August 2011 – Aberdeen, The Tunnels
19th August 2011 – Glasgow, King Tuts
20th August 2011 – York, Fibbers
