Leona Lewis has settled the dispute over her new comeback single Collide.

The British songstress, 26, was taken to court earlier this month over plagiarism accusations, with Swedish DJ Avicii claiming that the upcoming track stole the instrumental of his record Fade Into Darkness.

However, yesterday it was revealed that the dispute has now been resolved, and the single will be released as a collaboration between the singer and Avicii.

Simon Cowell’s record label Syco published an official statement, announcing that the single will now be released under the joint Leona Lewis/Avicii title.

"It is announced today that Leona Lewis and Avicii will work together on the forthcoming single Collide,” the statement said.
"Since getting its first radio play in the UK it has received rave reviews and is already topping club charts across the country."
Avicii later tweeted his relief at settling the ongoing dispute. The producer took to his personal Twitter page to express his reprieve.

"So happy to move on with Leona and focus on having a hit together. We've finally come to an agreement with Leona on all the issues. So happy to move on and focus on hit making!" he said.

“Glad to FINALLY have resolved situation with Leona. Music is the answer!"

Avicii began legal action in July to stop the release of the track, claiming the song was similar to his own track Fade Into Darkness.

Collide is due for release on September 4.
