Eminem movie axed

‘Southpaw’, Eminem’s movie comeback, has been shelved by Dreamworks.

MTV reports that ‘Southpaw’ was due to commence production in 2012 for release in 2013.

Eminem was to play boxer who follows a similar path to his last movie character in ‘8 Mile’. It is possible the movie was axed because of the number of boxing films in production.

Eminem is now pitching the movie to other studios.

Southpaw is a boxing expression to describe the stance where a boxer has his right hand and right foot leaning forward to take a right jab.
