Nick Jonas admits his female fans can be “too much” at times.
The 18-year-old star found fame alongside his siblings Joe and Kevin in the Jonas Brothers. The trio are now taking time away from the group to focus on other projects, with Nick trying his hand at musical theatre.
Earlier this month he enjoyed a turn as Link Larkin in a rendition of Hairspray at the Hollywood Bowl. His performance went down a storm with fans, many of who cheered and screamed every time he came on stage.
“Oh, man it's pretty intense,” he admitted of the adoration. “Too much sometimes.”
When he performed at the Hollywood Bowl, many young fans crowded towards the backstage area to catch a glimpse of their idol. Nick struggles to cope with situations such as these, especially as often parents are frantically trying to secure a sighting for their offspring.
If things get too much for Nick he simply avoids the melee by taking another route out of the building.
“Sometimes I just try another way out, any way out," he admitted to E! Online, blushing as he spoke.
