Mel B thinks her husband will be so nervous when she goes into labour he’ll take her to the wrong hospital.
The former Spice Girl is expecting her first child with Stephen Belafonte, although they both have kids from other relationships.
Mel is expected to give birth at any time and can’t wait to meet the new addition to her family. Stephen is also looking forward to the arrival, although Mel admits he’s also worried about the birth.
“He'll probably pass out and require medical attention,” she joked to Hello! magazine. “I pretended to him the other day that I was in labour and he just went white; he didn't have a clue what to do. He'll be panicking and probably take us to the wrong hospital.”
Mel’s baby was due over the weekend. She plans to give birth in Los Angeles, at the same medical centre where Victoria Beckham recently welcomed daughter Harper Seven.
The 36-year-old already has daughters Phoenix Chi, 12, and four-year-old Angel Iris, who she revealed will be with her every step of the way.
“Phoenix and Angel will be there with me during my labour, which is just as well as Stephen will be a complete nightmare,” she told the publication.
Mel’s former bandmate Mel C checked how she was feeling via social networking website Twitter over the weekend, asking her when the baby would be welcomed into the world.
“@MelanieCmusic (It was due) yesterday!!! Help help!!! It likes being in my tummy too much right now (sic)!!” she replied.
Stephen has six-year-old daughter Gisele from a previous relationship.
