Morrissey loves to make controversial statements, but he may have taken it too far. The animal activist said to a Warsaw audience on Sunday night "We all live in a murderous world, as the events in Norway have shown. Though that is nothing compared to what happens in McDonalds and Kentucky Fried shit every day."
76 people were killed last week by a Christian extremist in Norway.

The Country Music Hall of Fame is looking to expand to more than twice its current size with the help of a $75 million expansion campaign. That goal seems well within reach just as the drive kicks off as they already have $56 million in commitments.
Overall, there would be more than 200,000 square feet added to the complex along with an 800-seat theater.

The Who officially announced Quadrophenia: The Director's Cut box set for a November release which will feature a remaster of the original double album, Pete Townshend's previously unheard demos including songs that didn't make it onto the original album, an exclusive eight-track 5.1 sound DVD, a deluxe hardback book, previously unseen personal notes, photographs, memorabilia and other exclusive material that will be announced over the coming months.
Townsend said of the project "This 2011 revisit to the Who's 1973 Quadrophenia recording is inspired by current and continuing interest in the project. The Who performed a concert version of the piece at the Royal Albert Hall in 2010 for the Teenage Cancer Trust with excellent reviews, and the success of that event led to the prospect of a Who tour in 2012 based on the album. The last such tour was between 1996-1997."

Cheap Trick is demanding safety for the bands and audiences after their near-death experience two weeks ago in Ottawa when the stage on which they were playing collapsed in a high wind.
Band manager Dave Frey said in a statement "We simply want to know: what are the companies and organizers doing to protect the next act and the next audience? Every act and every fan out to be asking the same question when attending an outside musical event. Was it a design flaw? Was it an implementation mistake? These are important questions that must be answered."
