Mariah Carey has opened up about her difficult pregnancy with her twins Moroccan and Monroe.

The 41-year-old singer gave birth on April 30 but in an interview with HSN she details how hard she found it carrying two babies.

Although the Fantasy singer is delighted to finally be holding her children in her arms, she called her pregnancy “bleak”.

“I was so uncomfortable,” she said. “I’m kind of proud of myself. I really am – sorry, pregnant with twins is different than anything!

“People were always saying to me, ‘Oh, but it’s all worth it!’ Yeah, but it’s easy to say when you’re not the one whose feet are this big! It turned into like a really difficult time.”

Mariah is married to television host Nick Cannon and they celebrated their third wedding anniversary on the same day their babies were born.

“My body went through so much,” she said on the shopping network channel. “Holding those twins in – you have to keep them in as long as possible. It’s a sacrifice you make for them.

“Literally I was like, 47-weeks pregnant. And anybody pregnant right now, there’s push gifts here. Tell your baby-father.”

Mariah reportedly ordered the camera operators to avoid close-up shots and to keep the focus away from her.
She was on the network to promote everything from earrings to fragrances from her many product lines.
