Oscar-winner Jeff Bridges delivers a teaser trailer for his self-titled album.

The actor who won an Oscar for portraying a country singer in Crazy Heart is a real country singer with his new self-titled album.

Now a trailer has emerged, with Bridges talking about his process and collaborators.

He reveals that much is a lifelong love affair, playing since he was in his teens. And he and collaborator T Bone Burnett “go back 30 years” and he met co-writer John Goodwin in fourth grade.

There’s also studio footage of guests Roseanne Cash, Sam Philips, Ryan Bingham, Benji Hughes, and he introduces his backing band.

Burnett and Cash also speak about the songs on the album and Bridges’ talks about the source of some being leftover from Crazy Heart.

Also live footage and behind the scenes photos of the making.

It’s very nice. Have a look below. The album comes out on August 12 through Blue Note.
