This weekend, 6 piece London based pop-rockers The Mars Patrol, who are originally from Edinburgh, make their T in the Park debut on the BBC Introducing stage. Following the release of their latest single 'Shake It Up' for free through www.themarspatrol.com earlier this year, the band has completed a UK-wide acoustic tour and look forward to a new single and follow up tour towards the end of summer. The T in the Park slot has been warmly received by the band and their followers.

Singer Davina Divine said, "We're all big fans of this festival. It feels like our home festival and having grown up attending, it's a great feeling to finally be on the stage". Bassist Stephen Parker said they aim to play an upbeat set to get everybody dancing, which will include their recent single Shake it Up (music video below). Guitarist Ross Nelson added that "being from edinburgh, we are used to the scottish weather so we're not bothered if it rains."

You can catch The Mars Patrol on Saturday at 3:30pm on the BBC Introducing Stage

After the band's performance at T in the Park they will be heading out around the UK for a Summer Tour:
