The 'Bleeding Love' hitmaker has enjoyed showing German backing dancer Dennis Jauch around her home town of Hackney, east London, and says the pair are having a lot of fun together.
She said: "I'm really happy with my new boyfriend.
"He's been staying with me in Hackney and he's met all my family. I still have my flat here, so when I'm not working I'm back home near my mum and dad.
"My mum always says she just wants me to be happy and I really am at the moment. We're having a lot of fun."
Leona began dating Dennis soon after splitting from long-term boyfriend Lou Al-Chamaa and she admits the upheaval in her personal life will be reflected in her next album.
She added in an interview with Reveal magazine: "A lot of things have changed over the past year.
"I wanted to put my heart into my lyrics, so most of my new album has a darker tone to it. It's not just about my ex, or any one person.
It's a mix of emotions.
"But it's not all sad. I'm in a really happy place right now, so there are some upbeat tracks on there too."
