Recent reports that John Lennon had turned conservative late in his life and was a supporter of Ronald Reagan has been soundly shot down by his former assistant Elliot Mintz.

Mintz told TMZ "From the time I met John in 1971, until the end, all of those things he expressed in Imagine were part of his belief system until the last breath of his life. If you listen to the last recorded interviews that were done with John, you'll hear him express in his own words ... his own beliefs ... which are virtually identical to the beliefs he held in '71."


Rick Springfield has been officially charged with two counts of DUI from his arrest back in May. He faces a maximum of six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.
Luckily, he will not be charged for verbally assaulting the arresting officer, telling him that he would kill him and his family if they towed his expensive car.

Michael Anthony told Ultimate Classic Rock that he's very happy with his group Chickenfoot and that it is like Van Halen in the early days, a bunch of friends getting together to make music and have fun.

Nick Cave's group Grinderman received a nomination for Song of the Year at this year's Mojo Awards for Heathen Child. Other veteran acts nominated were all in the Best Compilation category, Sweet Insperation: The Songs of Dan Penn and Spooner Oldham, Black Hole: Jon Savage Presents California Punk 1977-1980 and Everything I Do Gohn Be Funky by Allen Tussaint.
