The Beady Eye frontman – who was renowned for his hard partying ways in Oasis - hasn’t drunk any alcohol since last New Year’s Eve (31.31.10) and he is enjoying being sober.
In an interview with the US edition of GQ magazine, he said: “These days, I'm sticking to ginger ale. I'm having a bit of a time off from drinking. I haven't had anything since New Year's Eve. I'm just having a breather. I've been drinking for 25 years, man. When I do go out though, I drink absolutely f**king everything."
Liam’s newfound love of clean living extends to his holidays.
The ‘Roller’ singer’s favourite vacation destination is Lake Como is Italy and he admits he likes nothing more than sharing a romantic meal with his wife Nicole Appleton while looking at the idyllic scenery.
The 38-year-old rock star – who has a nine-year-old son Gene with the former All Saints singer - revealed: “I take holidays at Lake Como a lot. It’s pretty expensive, but beautiful. If you go up there in the mountains there's a restaurant called The Black Cat. It's outside, on a cliff, and you look over the fucking lake. The food's the b******s. It's amazing."
Liam – who also has an 11-year-old son Lennon with ex-wife Patsy Kensit and 14-year-old daughter Molly from a fling with singer Lisa Moorish – isn’t the only star to enjoy the tranquillity of Lake Como.
George Clooney, Muse frontman Matt Bellamy, Madonna and Sylvester Stallone all own or have owned homes on Lake Como, in Lombardi.
