Scott Ian from thrash lords Anthrax tweets the title and release date of their first proper studio album in eight years.

Guitarist Scott Ian tweeted “Worship Music is finished. I just listened to it LOUD in sequence. Our 10th studio record is fucking killer. Sept 13 my friends. Cheers!”

So there you have it. Anthrax’s first album of original music since 2003’s We’ve Come For You All, will be called Worship Music and will be released on September 13.

Worship Music is also the first album since the 1990 classic Persistence Of Time to feature their classic-era vocalist Joey Belladonna.

The band finished recording the album in April and tweeted that it will be “The Most Emotional Album” they’ve ever done.
