One of the most startling personalities to emerge from the X Factor, Cher turned talent shows upside down when she repped for the underground with her version of 'Turn My Swag On'.

She took her swag to Europe and the States, and came back with a stunning new sound. Her debut single 'Swagger Jagger' will solidify the 17 year-old as one of urban pop’s rising stars.

Co-written and produced by The Runners (Rihanna, Birdman), Cher came up with 'Swagger Jagger' earlier this year, on her first post-X Factor trip to Los Angeles. The infectious, hook-laden track takes a cheeky sideswipe at a “hater,” who should “just let it go”, and signals the coming-of-age of a new young talent. Remixes come courtesy of Dillon Francis, HyGrade and more.

“Being in the studio writing and recording with The Runners and Autumn Rowe has been an amazing experience,” says Cher. “Swagger Jagger was one of the first tracks we recorded and I loved it straight away and knew it had to be my first single! I hope you all like it. I cannot wait to get out there and perform to you all.”

Since the X Factor, Cher has been around the globe recording her debut album with some of the hottest names around, including Max Martin, Red One and TMS. The as-yet-untitled album is set for a November release.

'Swagger Jagger' is released 31 July 2011 on Syco Music / Sony Music
