The DJ popped the question to French beauty Josephine De La Baume earlier this year and the 26-year-old model-and-actress admits she was stunned when he asked her to marry him.
She said: "Mark proposed on the beach in La Rochelle – I had no idea whatsoever.
"He designed the ring – it's a yellow diamond, so beautiful."
The couple plan to tie the knot on September 3 and while Josephine can't wait to walk down the aisle, she thinks her mother is even more excited about the impending nuptials.
She said: "It's such a source of joy and excitement that I'm not anxious about it.
"It's going to be in September in my parents' place in Provence and Zac Posen is designing my dress.
"Actually, I think my mum thinks she's the one getting married."
Josephine - who has been in a relationship with Mark for two years – was amazed by how excited she was by Mark's proposal because she never wanted to get married.
She told Britain's OK! magazine: "I didn't want to get married. I couldn't imagine myself in a cupcake dress – that's why I'm not going to have one!
"I always had a fantasy about having children so I just thought I'd get married, I don't know when I was pregnant with my second child.
"I got so super-excited when it happened – even more excited than annoying girls in romantic comedies."
