The 'Strong Again' hip-hop group's producer is hoping to branch out into the pop world, and write a huge hit for the US 'Firework' star.

N-Dubz singer Dappy told the Daily Star newspaper: "Fazer hopes to land Katy's next single. He's thrown a song into the mix for her new album."

Katy has previously worked with huge pop producers such as Cathy Dennis and Dr. Luke, but Fazer is reportedly hoping to provide some UK hip-hop edge with the tracks he writes for her.

Meanwhile Dappy is working on his own debut solo album, which he is confident will have a number of hits on it.

He said: "It's gonna be a big thing full of mental chart smashes. The first single is coming in September and it's called 'No RegĀ¬rets'. It's all about me as a person and explains why I've been so crazy and spontaneous."

Meanwhile the third member of the British group, Tulisa, is to appear as a judge on the new series of singing talent show 'The X Factor' in the UK, set to air later this summer.
