Studio equipment, including microphones and other gear are to be sold at auction.

The gear comes from a studio that Lennon had installed at his mansion at Tittenhurst Park in 1970, where he recorded the albums 'Imagine' and 'Plastic Ono Band'.

It's understood that as well as Lennon, his wife Yoko Ono and former Beatles band mates Ringo Starr and George Harrison had used the microphones in recording sessions.

If you want to get yourself a microphone, it's expected you'll have to fork over around five thousand quid for the privilege.

The auctions will be held via MJQ - an audio specialist company. They currently have a desk from Abbey Road that has been used on recordings in the studio for the past 18 years.

The auction begins on the 11th of May. Check out http://www.mjq.co.uk/ closer to the date.
