Revived pop-punks Blink-182 have cancelled European and UK dates because their new album isn’t finished.

The band had an extensive tour lined up for Europe and the UK, including big festivals like T In The Park and Oxegen, but they’ll postponed the shows because their new album is taking longer than they suspected.

They announced on their website that they expected to have their long-awaited comeback album done and released by “summer” or mid-year.

They write: “Turns out we were mistaken as the album is taking longer than we thought and won’t be out till later this year. We hoped we would have some new songs to play rather than do another ‘greatest hits tour’ which you all saw last Summer.”

So, to remain “vital” (in their words), they’ve ditched their gigs and have gone back to work on the album.

Their forthcoming record will be the first since their hit self-titled effort of 2003.
