The North West’s newest boutique Festival takes place on 16-18 September 2011 in the bohemian enclave of Ramsbottom, nestled in the West Pennine Moors just 12 miles from Manchester city centre.

Bringing some of the most exciting musicians together to a stunning riverside location, the festival will become an epicenter of the best in handpicked British music, from internationally renowned acts to the most touted up and coming names.

Acts confirmed to date include indie rock quintet Cherry Ghost and Manchester’s own Badly Drawn Boy.

The Festival aims to create a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment for people of all ages to come together for a cornucopia of musical and artistic delights, real ales from local brewers Outstanding, and the finest in locally produced food.

Within the idyllic setting of the Ramsbottom Cricket Club, festival-goers can escape into a reverie with an eclectic mix of folk, indie and acoustic music floating over the surrounding hills.

Those wanting an even more magical experience can park and ride from Bury or Rawtenstall to make their approach to the Festival through the winding countryside on vintage steam trains.

With a host of bands to be announced over the coming weeks in addition to an array of other pleasures, stay tuned to find out more about the line-up for 2011’s most exciting new Festival.

The Festival is a partnership between 3 local, independent and creative organisations, Bury’s live arts venue, The Met, Don’t Panic Event Management and Ramsbottomonline.com

Festival organiser and Director of The Met, David Agnew says:
