The rapper – who has sons Gino, two, and three-month-old Milo with long-term girlfriend Kaye Vassell – has revealed he is currently single but sees his boys as often as possible and is already trying to instil a sense of responsibility in them.
He said: “My baby is good but me and the mum split up. But I’m seeing the kids twice a week and I’m giving them the life I never had.
“I can’t let them run riot so I’m making them know things and, like, do chores. Not chores exactly, but just showing them how to have respect.”
Despite the break-up, Dappy – who separated briefly from Kaye last year amid allegations he had cheated on her – is not too upset and has already lined up a date with someone else.
Asked about his short-term plans, he told Q magazine: "I've got a date. A beautiful lady from Liverpool that I'm going to take to a Chinese restaurant in London's West End. Now she is peng. Peng means fit, hot, sexy. Good-looking.”
