Pregnant singer/songwriter Jewel has been released from hospital after a fire truck smashed into the passenger side of her SUV in the Texas town of Stephenville on Friday morning.
The singer announced her pregnancy in January. She is in the third trimester.
Jewel alerted fans about the accident via Twitter. “Hey everyone, just got released from the ER & my DR’s office – everything is fine – me & the baby r ok – thanx for all your thoughts & prayers”.
Early today she updated with “Dr said no working out – so I’m going to take it easy. Just a little sore and banged up – but feeling so blessed this morning.”
She then gave Cadillac a huge free endorsement. “1 thing I do know is my car saved me & bab’s life – definitely going 2 get another Cadillac SRX! It absorbed all the damage and kept me safe”.
Jewel is pregnant with her first child. She married rodeo star Ty Murray in 2008.
