The full list of dates are as follows:

SEPTEMBER
2nd-4th Larmar Tree Gardens End of the Road Festival
3rd-5th Birmingham Mosely Folk Festival

OCTOBER
27th London Roundhouse

DECEMBER
2nd-4th Minehead All Tomorrow’s Parties

Tinariwen are also set to release their as yet untitled 5th album through V2 / Cooperative Music on August 29th 2011. Recorded in the South-Eastern Algerian desert in November 2010 primarily using acoustic instruments, the album showcases another side of the much-applauded band.

They released their last album, Imidiwan: Companions, in late June 2009 – the album subsequently went onto win the Uncut Music Award in November of that year beating off stiff competition from the likes of Bob Dylan, Kings of Leon, Animal Collective & Grizzly Bear.

Their debut album, The Radio Tisdas Sessions, was a much-feted record that effortlessly crossed over to those with previous little interest in African music courtesy of its guitar licks, grimy desert sound, arcane rhythms and wild rebel iconography.

In the past ten years the band have continued their steady ascent playing over 700 concerts around the world as well as releasing a further two albums, Amassakoul in 2004 and Aman Iman in 2007. Along the way they have picked up a number of other awards (BBC Award for World Music in 2005 and the prestigious Praetorius Music Prize in Germany in 2008) and a raft of ‘legendary’ fans including the likes of Robert Plant, Carlos Santana, Brian Eno, Thom Yorke, TV on the Radio and Bono & the Edge.
