Xfm, the station that brings you music that rocks, is proud to present 25 – an exciting documentary series featuring 12 seminal albums, all celebrating 25 years of influencing music.

Ian Camfield will kick-off the year-long series with Metallica’s ground-breaking “Master of Puppets”. Join Ian on Sunday 30th January at 10pm, as Xfm looks back at one of the most influential hard rock albums of all time with a one hour show focused on the album’s release and its impact on the music industry. From 11pm, the station will play out the album in full, creating a forum for its listeners to join the discussion online at xfm.co.uk and facebook.com/xfmradio.

Other albums in the series – all released in 1986 – include Depeche Mode’s “Black Celebration”, “The Queen is Dead” by The Smiths, “Parade” by Prince & The Revolution, and “Ill Communication” by Beastie Boys.

British post-punk band PiL’s “Album” will follow “Master of Puppets” as the second in the series at the end of February.

Listen to the 25 series on Xfm every last Sunday of the month at 10pm.
