Alanis Morissette becomes mum

Alanis Morissette has given birth to her first child.

Her son, born on Christmas Day, has been given the oh-so Hollywood name of Ever Imre Morissette-Treadway.

Alanis married Mario Souleye Treadway in Los Angeles in May this year. She announced her pregnancy in August via Twitter.

In two Twitter posts since the birth Alanis has said yesterday “Moved beyond words and so grateful’ and today “so in love with my new nuclear family”.

Alanis isn't the only celebrity to become a parent on Christmas. As reported yesterday in Undercover, Elton John and his partner David Furnish also become dad’s via a surrogate birth on Christmas Day as well.
