The legendary Barbra Streisand joined Oprah Winfrey this week for a special show dedicated to the singer and actress who’s ‘Ultimate Collection’ spends another week inside the UK Top 20.
Oprah surprised Barbra by bringing Robert Redford out, whom she had starred in the film ‘The Way We Were’ which earned Barbra a Best Actress Oscar Nomination and won Best Original Score and Song.
Barbra and Robert both agreed that seeing each other instantly took them back to filming together back in the 1970s. "I remember the fun we had," Robert says. "I remember liking her energy and her spirit; it was wonderful to play off of. I also really enjoyed kidding her. She was fun to kid."
Barbra revealed that she's always wanted to do a sequel to The Way We Were, but Robert wasn't interested. "There was a great story with our daughter, who would have become a political activist as well, at Berkeley in 1968, the year of the Democratic Convention," she says.
"There was a very interesting story there."
