Guitarist Dave Navarro has spoken about a new record for the reunited alt-rock misfits Jane’s Addiction.

Navarro was stopped on the red carpet for the premiere of new film Jamie Kennedy: Uncomfortable.

After shrugging off the idea that red carpets make him uncomfortable, Navarro went straight into telling PopStop.TV about Jane’s Addicition’s next album.

“Jane’s is going good,” he said, “We’re actually writing quite a bit and getting ready to go into the studio in December and start recording tracks”.

He continued, “We hope to have something out next year; early next year”.

The band have had sporadic reunions in 1997, 2001 and 2008 in it’s “classic” incarnation, that has stuck until bassist Eric Avery departed the group this year to focus on other projects.

A new album would be the first since 2003’s Strays and would only be the band’s fourth proper studio effort.
