The xx speak out against Conservatives use of their song

The xx have spoken out about use of a track in the background at the Conservative event in Birmingham last weekend which captured much media attention.

The band's record label has spoken out about the use of the track - the use of which they did not agree to.

Via Twitter Young Turks publicised its displeasure:

"The xx/YoungTurks weren't invited to any party, didn't approve the use of their music at the party and certainly don't approve of said party"
