Top new UK talent Big Man Zest has teamed up with acclaimed production duo Beatnik for the first single off his debut album.
Following up his summer club banger ‘Jump in the Middle and Skank’ which received airtime from major national radio, Big Man Zest has turned to Beatnik and their infectious signature sound to create ‘Who I Am’ – a sizzling funky-meets-electro breakbeat hit that’s sure to wreak havoc on the airwaves.
Beatnik are comprised of renowned writer/producer siblings DJ Nikki and Statis. Something of an UK Urban White Stripes, they overall sound is a fusion of hip-hop and breakbeat drum tracks mixed with rock style riffs and electro sounds. Add to this the lyrical prowess of Big Man Zest and the final mix is a combination of wonderful originality that’s hard to match.
Big Man Zest, quoted as ‘zealous, lovable and magnetic on stage…’ has been taking the UK by storm with his energetic performances and released his Happy New Year Mixtape last January.
The track premiered on Choice FM and is now available for nationwide release
