Weezer guitarist Brian Bell is “praying” to perform their much-loved 1996 album in full.

Following the seemingly unstoppable trend of performing entire albums, Weezer have taken the news of a Pinkerton reissue to consider giving it a shot.

Bell told Exclaim.ca, “I'm praying for a Pinkerton tour, where we'll play all the songs off Pinkerton, soon.”

This might need a case of divine intervention since Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo said of the album in 2001:

“The most painful thing in my life these days is the cult around Pinkerton. It’s just a sick album, sick in a diseased sort of way. It’s such a source of anxiety because all the fans we have right now have stuck around because of that album. But, honestly, I never want to play those songs again; I never want to hear them again.”

We might have to make do with forthcoming Hurley album, due out on September 13.
