Indie stalwarts Moshi Moshi Records have announced James Yuill and Silver Columns will appear at Liverpool Music Week as part of their forthcoming UK tour. The gig will take place at the wonderful Shipping Forcast venue, Slater St on Mon 1st November.

Having released and worked with many of today’s most exciting indie/alternative acts, it’s fair to say that Moshi Moshi have built up an impressive empire of talent over recent years. With their consistently good, inventive and at times thrilling musical output, they’ve become a hub for quality and in James Yuill and Silver Columns we present two of their finest.

James Yuill is an artist who’s attracted many an admirer since his debut LP Turning Down Water For Air was released back in October ‘08. Having travelled the world and back with his individual blend of rich, emotional songwriting and dynamic, electronic beatmaking, Mr Yuill has been able to carve a niche for himself that defies categorisation. With the release of this year’s brilliant follow-up LP Movement In A Storm and an on going global live schedule; James has been in extremely high-demand of late…

Silver Columns meanwhile, comprise of the inventive talents of songwriting duo Adem and The Pictish Trail, and together they make fizzing, bubbling, heart quickening electro pop, which pulses with life but also has a beating heart at its centre. Their critically acclaimed debut LP YES AND DANCE and their energetic festival appearances have already earned them a passionate following, and this autumn, with a Caribou remix of their anthem in waiting Always On and a full release of Brow Beaten to coincide with their debut UK tour, it’s only a matter of time before they are bona fide leftfield pop stars.
