Foals today announced new single 'Miami' to be released in the UK July 4th, the same day they play the Camden Roundhouse as part of the iTunes festival in London.

'Miami' is the second official single from the band’s critically acclaimed second album Total Life Forever, which last week entered the UK album charts at no. 8 - ahead of other new entries such as Slash, Alicia Keys and Dead Weather. The band have enjoyed a mass of hugely positive media coverage around the follow up to their 2008 debut Antidotes, and have established themselves as a band confident in their identity and progression.

Pop gem 'Miami' is Foals’ most graceful, patient, yet charged single to date. Retaining the band's homespun interweaved riffs and powerhouse drumming, its groove is inspired by early-nineties hip hop and loosened by the bliss and sway of classic Balearic disco.

Ostensibly a sun-drenched love song, the exoticism of its location belies a dark narcissim -beached, bleached, and bare-hearted.

Total Life Forever was recorded in Gothenburg, Sweden during late 2009, by Luke Smith (Clor).
