will.i.am has compared tracks being leaked on the internet to seeing your bride-to-be's dress before your wedding day.

The Black Eyed Peas star is gearing up to release his solo record #willpower, which will be available this month.

The musician says there's nothing more heartbreaking than finding out your tunes have been leaked online ahead of their release.

"Especially if the leaks are unfinished songs," he explained to BBC Radio 1.

"Imagine if you were getting married and your wife-to-be was getting dressed and you hadn't seen your wife's wedding gown, or done the dirty with her yet. Then imagine someone puts a camera in her dressing room and you hadn't even seen the gown or her dirty bits, but someone puts that tape on the internet! Then you'd be like, 'Jeez, I never even got a chance to see my wife's dirty bits and now she's all over the internet photo-shopped standing next to the pope!'"

The 38-year-old has collaborated with teen popstar Justin Bieber on hit single #thatPower. The music video is released today, and he promised fans won't be disappointed by the duo's efforts.

"This is the best video I've ever been a part of. I don't like choreography. For me, I don't like having to practise it all the time. The Black Eyed Peas, we learnt from our mistakes with dancing, so for this video, we had a new choreographer from Japan who had these amazing, freaking synchronised, movements. It's very cinematic. We had crazy sound effects and cinematology. What you'll see is next-level effects," he gushed excitedly.

Both will and Justin are known for having trouble concentrating for long periods of time. The star suffers from the symptoms of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) which he finds is helped by channelling his energy into being creative musically.

"My attention span isn't short... Dude did you see about the elevator in Hong Kong?!" he jokingly changed the subject.

"When you are excited about life and music, then I think, 'Whatever.' The only thing [Justin and I] both have an attention for is making music. I have ADHD. I'll admit it."
