will.i.am has joked he has "tricked out his house" to make it high tech.
The Black Eyed Peas star is known for his love of gadgets and is obsessed with having the latest gizmos to play with.
The rapper joked that he is so communication savvy he has developed a high tech method of wiring up his home to make it more convenient.
"I am a geek," will laughed to BBC Radio One. "I've tricked out [my house]. I've hooked it up to appliances that wouldn't normally communicate to each other. So my TV speaks to my refrigerator often. It says things like, 'You are low on milk.' It's likes this: say, for example, I'm driving down the street, and pass by my supermarket then my car will speak to my refrigerator and say, 'What do we need?' and the fridge says, 'We need some almond milk...'"
There is one area of will's house where technology is banned. The superstar likes to keep his bedroom more traditional.
"In the bedroom I keep that real cushy like. We don't need to be getting all crazy with the gadgets and stuff," will laughed. "I do all the talking in bedroom!"
Will also commented on today's reports that he has confirmed Cheryl Cole will be returning to the UK version of the X Factor. The star denied having any insider information on Cheryl's plans.
"I don't know about the X Factor thing. I only heard about it today. I don't know [if Cheryl's going back to being a judge on the show]," he squirmed. "You have to ask that guy through the window. It's a sound proof window so that's not much help, what I'm doing now is painting a picture of what's happening because this needs to be made more visual."
