Four veteran artists join a raft of younger singers and bands (and cats) as nominees for the 6th Annual MTV O Music Awards.
Yoko Ono is up for the Digital Genius Award, arguably the most important in this show that relies heavily on digital and social media.
Richard Marx surprisingly joins artists like Bruno Mars, Frank Ocean and Ryan Adams in the fight for Must Follow Artist on Twitter.
David Bowie's video for The Stars (Are Out Tonight) is up for the Too Much Ass for TV Award given to video that are NSFW (not safe for work (or broadcast)).
Neil Young competes with Jack White, Beck and Shone for the Analog Genius Award.
Other categories for the awards include Best Artist Instagram, Best Music Hack and Our Favorite Musical Cat where only felines are nominated.
The awards will be given June 19 beginning at 7 PM as part of MTV's "Live Music Day" which will include fifty live performances around the country which will be streamed online.
