Christina Aguilera feels lucky she has such a "chill baby".

The 34-year-old singer and her fiancé Matthew Rutler welcomed little girl Summer Rain last August, who joins Christina's seven-year-old son Max from her previous marriage to Jordan Bratman.

Speaking for the first time about her new bundle of joy, the blonde singer couldn't help but gush about what a beautiful daughter she has.

“I have a chill baby, she’s just so calm and so easy to make laugh and smile; she’s just a breeze, thank God!” she smiled to Extra. “She’s just so beautiful, these big blue eyes, she’s just so gorge... very happy and feel very blessed having Summer Rain in my life.”

It isn't just Christina who is bowled over by the tot's presence; Max has also been won over by his little sister. He jumps at the chance to take on big-brother duties and the star is proud of his input when looking after Summer.

“He’s just so endearing and sweet to her, the only thing, I’m like, ‘Wash your hands before you touch the baby'... you don’t want the germs," Christina added.

"He’s in school, he’s seven, there’s a little age gap, but it’s perfect though, because then they don’t fight over toys, but he’s the big helper and the big teacher, so he’s awesome, he’s just so loving and sweet. I’m like, ‘How old are you?’ He’s like a grandma to her; he’s just like, ‘I’ll teach you everything.’”

Christina is ready to get back to work and is set to return as judge on NBC's The Voice later this year, after a two-year absence.

Alongside this, the songstress revealed she has teamed up with fellow judge and music sensation Pharrell Williams on new "genuine and heartfelt" music.
