Christina Aguilera doesn't want to rush planning her wedding.

The 34-year-old singer has been engaged to Matt Rutler since February last year and in August they welcomed their daughter Summer Rain into the world.

Although they are looking forward to tying the knot eventually, at the moment the pair are content to keep things they way they are.

"I want to plan our wedding and cherish the moment, while not feeling rushed in the process," she told British magazine Hello! "So when the schedule is more free and I can take some downtime again, I can focus on that. Our love is secure enough that we don't need a wedding to secure that. We are enjoying our daughter, our family and our work for now."

As well as becoming parents, the couple have moved into a new home. They have christened it 'The Sanctuary' because it is so peaceful, but Christina isn't just focusing on decorating. She has been working on new music for some time now and is looking forward to heading back into the studio, plus she is back as a judge on The Voice USA.

As well as having her daughter, Christina is mom to seven-year-old son Max with her ex-husband Jordan Bratman. No matter how busy her professional life is, being a mother will always be the most important thing to her.

"Watching them grow is an incredible thing. I try to remember to cherish everything moment because I know it won't last forever," she explained. "The pitter-patter of their little footsteps running down the halls, the way your heart just melts when they say in their tiny voices that they love you and how their little toes and fingers are so small and kissable."
