Wyclef Jean thanked a restaurant waiter for “saving [his] day” after retuning his iPad full of new music.

The Haitian musician-and-record producer was lunching at Brother Jimmy’s in New York City when he left without picking up his iPad packed with his new tunes.

The 41-year-old was apparently oblivious that he’d left the tablet computer on the table.

An honest server chased Wyclef down and returned his iPad. He “hugged it to his chest,” a spy told the New York Post, before declaring his gratitude.

“You saved my day! All my new music was on here!” he said.

Wyclef is best known for being part of The Fugees, a three-member group that included Lauryn Hill and Pras Michel. Wyclef recently revealed that he’s not ruling out the hip hop group reuniting.

"There's an energy and a buzz about The Fugees that everyone likes," he explained.

"I think that it would be exciting to see that happen again. I don't know if it would be another album - but maybe a song!"

Pras and Lauren have joined forces since, however. Pras jumped up onstage with Lauryn during her set at NYC's Rock The Bells festival on September 3 to perform their classics Ready Or Not and Killing Me Softly.
