Wide Days is a music industry convention / showcase festival celebrating 5 years in 2014 and in this time has become firmly established itself as a music industry event with a difference.

Hosted in the world’s oldest purpose-built student union, it is a far cry from the ubiquitous hotel function suites and sterile conference centres.

Panels, presentations and keynotes focusing on the rapid evolution of the music business conducted in a Victorian debating hall, while a rooftop terrace and numerous bars are ideal for meetings or socialising with other delegates.

At the core of Wide Days’ ethos is a belief that it should be accessible to all and that the next generation of industry players and veterans should have a forum to learn from each other.

Panel Topics Include:
• Meet The Gatekeepers – who choses the music and what motivates their choices?
• Safeguarding Music Venues - Keynote by the Music Venue Trust
• A&R You Brave Enough – live feedback on recorded music submitted by delegates
• Releasing in Germany – key information for releasing in Germany.
• The Hydro – how a world-class arena rose out of a car park
• Digital Services for Promoting Events – best online services for promoting gigs, tours and festivals
